TYT UV8000E "Epilogue" setting?

So just picked up this radio and after a little battle with getting it connected (the delivered cable won't work with Windows 11 at all), started trying to program it. The one tutorial I was able to find was not bad but there is one setting in the program called "Epilogue" that even the person giving the tutorial had no idea what it was.

Anyone familiar with this radio?

I’m not familiar with the 8000, but have theee of the TYT 9000 single-band radios. I haven’t seen the epilogue in these. I have two cables to program them and they won’t work with Windows 10. I haven’t tried with Windows 11 yet.

The issue is likely Windows doesn’t have a driver for the chipset in the USB cable. I have an old mini-laptop with XP that works with the cable.

I have another cable for an Icom HT that works well with 10 that also will work with 9000 radios. However, Chirp won’t work with the UHF version I have. I have one each of the 2m, 1.25m and 70cm.

Found a cable on Amazon that worked fine with Windows 11.

Epilogue is part of the software. In thinking about it, I suspect it is the "Tail" option in the radio.
