Tulare County ARES Preamble

Monday 19:00 Hours 146.88-103.5

“QST, QST, QST, this is (call sign) activating the Tulare County ARES net. My name is (Name) and I will serve as net control this evening. This net meets every Monday evening at 19:30 hours local. We are operating on a frequency of 146.880 MHz with a PL of 103.5 Hz. This repeater is owned and operated by the Tulare County Amateur Radio Club and is located on Park Ridge at an altitude of 7,516 feet.”

“The purpose of this net is to provide operators an opportunity to test their equipment, improve operating skills, pass message traffic as it pertains to ARES and other groups interested in emergency communications in Tulare County. This net will also be activated at any time upon receiving a request for assistance from a served agency.”

This is a directed net. Please direct all communications to Net Control. This is (Name), (call sign), your net control station. First is there any emergency or priority traffic? Are there any announcements or items of interest to the net?”

“When I ask for your call sign, please respond with your call sign, name, location, and any traffic you may have.”
