Good Day All,
The TPRFN Network is looking for a group of people to start the planning of a possible Grid Down Exercise, either in the late spring or early summer this year.
The exercise would revolve around Packet Radio (all modes), Winlink (offline post office), APRS (RF over HF) & AREDN RF connected networks, and any other digital modes that can integrated.
We would like to partner with any other EMCOMM groups that have or would like to implement a backbone RF network in your local regions.
Looking to include:
ARRL/ARES
AuxComm USA
AuxComm State Groups
RRI
Any other Emergency Management Organizations
Others
This is just conceptual and would require some planning but at the same time not be to difficult for people/groups to participate.
The only way to fully understand what our RF EMCOMM capabilities really are in the US is to put it to the test!
