The humming birds are finally coming back after a rough fire season last year. There is a planned prescribed burn on Ash Mountain today, which is just down the road from here, and I'm expected to deal with mold smoke today. It's raining in Sacramento. Not a bad time to do a burn.
    Sean,
I remember a couple years ago you had a digital mode coming out through the 146.880 repeater. Was that WIRES/C4FM? or something else. I have a radio that does and am interested in the mode. Any information you may have is appreciated.

It was Allstar. I've heard we use something like that already on the 88 repeater.

My, what a fiasco it was to be evacuated by the recent fires. Am ashamed of my family’s lack of preparedness. Proud to stoically continue.
Was nice to hear a friendly net this evening. 145.150 out of Bakersfield was accomodating.
The SSB portion of the 2m band runs from 144.100 MHz to 144.275 MHz and Upper Sideband (USB) is used. The 2M SSB calling frequency is 144.200 MHz, so that is the first place to look for.
Thinking about refining RSS feeds. Don't think the HRO used-gear feed is working out like initially thought.
